About Grove Ontario Fence Builders
Grove Ontario Fence Builders offers and manages fence and gate installation, replacement and repair across Ontario and the west Inland Empire, for homes and commercial properties. Installation is carried out by licensed and insured fence contractors.
Fences and gates, planned around the rules before a post goes in.
The work
Everything here concerns fences and gates: wood, vinyl, wrought iron, tubular steel, aluminum and chain link fences, walk, RV and automatic gates, toppers on existing block walls, and the repairs and replacements that follow wind, sun and termites. A project starts with the property line, the city rule and the post plan, and ends with a walk of the finished line.
- Wood fences: Redwood, cedar and fir privacy fences, dog-ear and board-on-board, on wood or steel posts.
- Vinyl fences: Vinyl privacy and semi-privacy fences with reinforced rails and posts set for wind.
- Wrought iron and steel: Tubular steel, wrought iron and aluminum fences for front yards, pools and views.
- Gates: Walk gates and side-yard gates, framed and hung so they close square, plus gate repair.
- RV and driveway gates: 12 to 16 foot swing and rolling gates for RVs, boats and trailers.
- Automatic gates: Gate operators, safety sensors and access controls for driveway gates.
- Pool fences: Nonclimbable pool enclosures with self-closing, self-latching gates.
- Block wall extensions: Wrought iron, vinyl and wood toppers that add height to existing block walls.
- Chain link fences: Residential and commercial chain link, black or galvanized, with privacy slats.
- Horizontal fences: Horizontal slat fences in wood or vinyl, framed to stay straight.
- Fence repair: Leaning posts, broken panels, rot, termite damage and wind damage.
- Emergency fence repair: Securing and rebuilding a fence knocked down by wind or impact.
- Fence replacement: Tear-out, haul-away and a new fence on the line.
- Commercial fencing: Perimeter, security and ornamental fencing for commercial property.
Who does the work
Grove Ontario Fence Builders sets up and manages each project. The work follows these standards:
- City permit and height rules. In Ontario, wood, chain link and wrought iron fences and block walls over 3 feet need a building permit, and Development Code 6.02 sets 3-foot front and 6-foot side and rear limits. Nearby cities set their own rules, and each plan follows the city the property sits in.
- Licensed and insured fence contractors. Installation is carried out by licensed and insured fence contractors.
- DigAlert before digging. California Government Code 4216.2 requires a DigAlert ticket at least two working days before post holes are dug.
- Posts set for wind and soil. Post spacing, depth and footings are set for the fence height, its material, the city's 110 mph Exposure C design wind and the sandy soils much of Ontario sits on.
- Shared fences and pools. Shared fences follow Civil Code 841, and pool enclosures follow Ontario's 5-foot nonclimbable rule and the state's drowning-prevention requirements.
How pricing works
Typical per-foot ranges are published on the homepage and in the fence cost guide, and the cost estimator gives a range before anyone visits. The price for a specific property comes in a written quote after the site walk, once the line, gates, slope and access are measured.
Where the work happens
Projects cover Ontario and the west Inland Empire. The area pages explain how permit rules, soils and fire zones change from city to city.
How a job runs
First call
Address, fence length, height and material in a few minutes, plus photos if you have them.
Site walk and layout
The line is walked and measured, gates and slopes marked, and survey questions raised where the property line is unclear.
Permits, HOA and DigAlert
The permit and any HOA approval are lined up, and DigAlert marks utilities before digging.
Posts, then panels
Posts are set and cured before rails, boards or panels go on, and gates are hung last so they close square.
Walk-through
The finished line, gate swing and latches are checked with you, and debris is hauled away.
